In partnership with AAPI Heritage Month 518, Albany Center Gallery (ACG) presents threads, a celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. The exhibition runs from April 30 to June 1, 2024. An Artists’ Reception was held on May 3, 2024, from 5 - 8 p.m. threads is free and open to the public; Tuesday - Saturday, Noon - 5 p.m.

Job Opportunity: Marketing & Gallery Associate

This individual will create marketing campaigns and social media content for Albany Center Gallery, as well as necessary administrative responsibilities and maintaining the Gallery space. Scheduling is flexible, but in-person for 20-25 hours per week with preference of availability Tuesday– Friday/Saturday, Noon – 5:00 pm (Ideal start date ASAP or July 2 or 9)

This exhibit features the works of three local artists: Wenda Habenicht, Cris Ortiz, and FRANC PALAIA. An Artists’ Reception will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 5 - 8 p.m. PiecedTogether. is free and open to the public; Tuesday - Saturday, Noon - 5 p.m.

Art.Work.Space monthly youth workshops

ACG hosts monthly youth art workshops (coined Art.Work.Space.) in partnership with The RED Bookshelf and Honest Weight Food Co-op. The programs are led by local artist mentors on the 2nd Saturday of each month throughout the year. The themes of the workshops dependent on what the youth want and the medium(s) of each artist. We plan to have workshops in writing, mural painting, screen printing, comic book making, collaging, clothing design, graphic design, watercolor painting, music, poetry, literacy, and more!
