BREAKING NEWS: Albany Center Gallery is MOVING!

We are beyond excited to share that ACG is entering a new phase and celebrating nearly half of a century of showcasing and promoting local and regional artists. We are relocating to a brand new space to elevate our exhibitions, programs, community impact, and more!

Starting January 2026, ALL of our programs, exhibitions, and events will be held at our pristine home: 48 N. Pearl Street, Downtown Albany

This move is more than just a change of address, it's a commitment to more art, more access, and more community. Thank you to our awesome supporters, artists, board of directors, community, and partners for making this possible.

Coming Up: Plein Air Painting & Nature Journal Workshop with Artist Shalom Harrison

Join us “En Plein Air,” along Downtown Albany’s Riverfront (Jenning’s Landing/Corning Preserve area) to explore painting the vibrant landscape during the fall season! Current Exhibition: Loading... Art for All!

From August 1 to September 13, 2025, Albany Center Gallery (ACG) presents Loading… Art for All!, an immersive installation experience with interactive art. The Kick-Off Reception on August 1, 5 - 8 p.m., presented by Metroland, features local artists live painting moveable murals, music, & more. As the weeks pass, more art and elements will be added into the exhibition. Come be part of it and leave your mark. Show up and make art for all!

Amsterdam, NY Call for Art

More Art Everywhere coming soon to Amsterdam, NY

In partnership with the City of Amsterdam NY, the Amsterdam NY Public Arts Committee, and Albany Center Gallery, we are accepting submissions for future outdoor projects and are inviting local and regional artists who live within 100 miles radius of Amsterdam, NY to submit their work for consideration.

Art.Work.Space monthly youth workshops

ACG hosts monthly youth art workshops (coined Art.Work.Space.) in partnership with The RED Bookshelf and Honest Weight Food Co-op. The programs are led by local artist mentors on the 2nd Saturday of each month throughout the year. The themes of the workshops dependent on what the youth want and the medium(s) of each artist. We plan to have workshops in writing, mural painting, screen printing, comic book making, collaging, clothing design, graphic design, watercolor painting, music, poetry, literacy, and more!
