Les Urbach Lifetime Achievement Award: Kevin Dubner
Kevin Dubner joined the Albany Center Gallery Board of Directors in 2014 after five years of volunteering for the gallery in a fundraising capacity. He served as vice president from 2015 to 2018 and president from 2018 to 2021. He currently is ACG Board treasurer and serves on a few other board committees. During his tenure, ACG has experienced unprecedented growth. Kevin also has volunteered in fundraising at multiple Capital Region nonprofits, including as a board member of To Life!, a breast cancer education and support nonprofit in Delmar, for the past 10 years.
A native of Brooklyn, Kevin came upstate in 1975 to attend the University at Albany, where he studied accounting and economics. He has worked as a financial advisor for individuals and businesses since 1980 and is currently a partner, vice president and wealth manager at Steward Partners Global Advisory in downtown Albany. His love and enthusiasm for art have grown considerably over the years. He and his wife, Cindi, have built a sizable collection of art produced by the region’s many talented local artists, whose works he enthusiastically has come to know and appreciate through his time at ACG. Kevin and Cindi live with their French bulldog, Jasmine, in Selkirk. In their spare time, they also enjoy travel, the theater, and family time with their children and grandchildren.
