Albany Center Gallery partnered with Grand Street Community Arts & South End Children's Cafe for ArtStreet: a youth art program that ran through the month of March 2023.

Each Thursday after school, youth from Grand Street Community Arts & South End Children's Cafe came with their mentors to Art.Work.Space. at ACG to create art! Artist Mentors Rae' Frasier & Tanner Damico each led two workshops and helped the youth create original paintings, drawings, and collaborative pieces in the subject of their choice. They used acrylic paint, colored pencils, markers, and more. Artist mentors were selected to lead every session in which mentors were able to share their passions and stories with students through art. This was a small glimpse at what a collaboration like this could do for the community with hopes that this could become a permanent initiative to encourage more youths to explore their creative avenues.

Thank you to all of the youth for your energy, creativity, and greatness! We can't wait to see what comes next. These young artists worked hard and had fun while painting creative and inspiring artwork.

Another big thank you to Grand Street Community Arts & South End Children's Cafe for your partnership, time, and all that you do.
