Words from the Artist Alicia Lea: "This mural is my way of holding space for a lost friend — the hummingbird her quiet presence, the sunflowers turning toward light, and emotere — energy in motion — woven through it all. Together they carry memory and movement, a gentle story of grief, resilience, and the hope that connection can keep us moving toward one another."
Within Us is funded by Albany County’s American Rescue Plan grant (ARPA) awarded to Albany County Department of Mental Health, John D. Picotte Family Foundation, Cynthia Kim, and the RED Bookshelf Albany.
