Words from the Artist TrashKiD Art: “I created this mural to connect with the students of ROOTS ACADEMY, using a comic-like format to capture their joys and provide affirmations to remind them to love themselves and each other. As an advocate for amplifying all voices through art, I believe in its power to inspire and unite. The mural's central phrase, "With knowledge comes understanding, with understanding comes appreciation, with appreciation comes community— Honor what makes us feel safe, Honor what makes us feel loved," embodies a philosophy I live by and encourage others to embrace. This message is about fostering a compassionate and inclusive community - needed in today's world.”
