JUROR ANNOUNCEMENT:
Jurors for the 23rd Annual High School Regional Juried Exhibition include:
Elizabeth Dubben, Jennie Tang, and Thom Williams!
Elizabeth Dubben is the Director of Collar Works in Troy, New York, and the Associate Director of Arts Administration at Skidmore College where she coordinates The Entrepreneurial Artist Initiative. Collar Works is a nonprofit art space located in Troy, with the mission of supporting emerging and underrepresented artists creating and exhibiting cutting-edge contemporary art. In addition to its vibrant gallery programming, Collar Works administers the Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency and is a collaborator with The Uniting Line project, a multiphase project transforming the Hoosick Street Bridge corridor. Originally from a small town near Cooperstown, Elizabeth, who has her BFA and MBA from The College of Saint Rose, lives in Albany with her husband and family.
Jennie Tang joined the ACG team in Fall 2018 as an intern and has been the Gallery's Curatorial Associate since May 2019. Since the beginning, Jennie has had a hand in all aspects of ACG's curatorial process, from preparatory exhibition research to each show's final installation and deinstallation, and everything in between. Driven by a personal investment in fostering diverse representation in the arts and community accessibility, Jennie has curated a number of in-house exhibitions herself at ACG since 2020. Jennie achieved her BA in Art History from SUNY Albany in 2019 and is currently a MA Candidate in Art History at CUNY Hunter College.
Thom Williams is a Photographic Artist & Educator currently living in Troy, NY. Thom earned a B.F.A. degree from SUNY Oswego with studio concentrations in Graphic Design and Photography. He has had multiple solo shows throughout New York State as well as participated in Juried and Member shows with fashion editorials appearing in magazines throughout the world. His commercial Video and Photography clients include CNN, Timesunion, Schenectady Gazette, Albany Institute of History & Art, Albany Center Gallery, Blue Shield of Northeastern NY, Spectrum Cable, Saratoga Living Magazine, TheAlt newspaper and many others. Teaching Virtually in partnership with Art Centers throughout the northeast for over 2 years and in person for 2 local art centers for over 5 years, he has found an avenue to share his passion and foster growth for others interested in photography.
