Creations: Connections and Collections

Tags: Gallery News

Opening August 3, Albany Center Gallery will be showing a special exhibit: Creations: Connections &  Collections. This show aims to bring the artwork of over 80 ACG members and their artist friends together under one roof, making for a truly eclectic exhibition featuring various media. Artists have the unique ability to inspire other members of the local artistic community; Creations: Connections & Collections will serve to facilitate that process of inspiration.

The exhibit will also feature over 50 works from the private collections of local arts patrons. Through the years, these patrons of the arts have amassed collections that feature diverse and unique pieces from local, regional and internationally renowned artists. This event is a rare opportunity to own these select pieces for an affordable price. The work includes traditional, modern and contemporary art in a variety of media such as works on paper, oil paintings, mixed media, prints, sculpture and photography.

This special exhibit is only on display for two weeks - don’t miss it! Come join us for the opening reception of Creations: Connections & Collections on Friday, August 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. This special opening is part of ACG’s “Art for All” weekend and will include a Party in DiNapoli Park featuring curated tunes by DJ Intell Hayesfield, the unveiling of newly painted park furniture, live painting by local artists, and summery snacks. RSVP to the event on our Facebook page for updates and sneak peek at the artwork in the show!
