Times Union | 'Interact:/In-tər'aekt' at Albany Center Gallery

"How perfect for the show itself: As accessible as the work might seem at a glance, it's difficult to dig into. Like the title, everything here is coded and ciphered, and the best works take you somewhere interesting, often with a modified copy and paste appropriation. "Interact" is a triumph for curator Tony Iadicicco. These disparate paintings and related objects by six artists are about people interacting, as it appears to the eye, with implications. And it took me some time to get that.

"This is a true curator's effort. The show makes more of the many parts than you'd expect. Each artist's vision counteracts and supports another's, so what at first might seem lackluster might later seem necessary to the whole."
