Title: "The World Witnesses the Great Dewinging While Others Hide From The Maw"

Artist Aurora Powell's Statement:

"Including a painting of the same name, I wish to further create a shadowbox of a nightmarish scene. Included is a creature, cast in silicone and plaster, that appears to be grinding the fairy wings stolen from figures within the painting behind it. With an angled floor for the shadowbox, I want to force a perspective upon viewer and passerby as if the scene is falling toward them, inevitable and blatant. Along with the sculpture, I've created ghostly pale purple sleeves for the creature by using a harvested dye of pokeweed berries, a poisonous substance - silently something to be feared."
