On behalf of the Board of Directors, Gala Committee and staff of Albany Center Gallery, as well as the artists and art enthusiasts of our region, thank you very much for joining us at our POP! Gala Benefit, held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Renaissance Albany Hotel.
Our POP! Gala was an evening filled with color, energy, awards, dancing and great food, along with a fabulous live and silent auction. There was a tremendous amount of spirit and comradery in the room and we were especially pleased with how many guests were inspired by our POP! Art theme and got creative with their attire. We are excited to announce that due to your support and the support of like-minded members of our community, this was our most successful Gala to date in both attendance and funds raised.
This year, Albany Center Gallery was pleased to bestow the Les Urbach Lifetime Achievement Award to longtime community activist and supporter of the arts, Rosemarie (Ro) Rosen. The Mona Ruth Brickman Memorial Artist of the Year Award went to Richard Garrison, artist and a lifelong supporter of the arts in our community.
With your support, Albany Center Gallery will continue its mission to exhibit and promote contemporary visual art produced by emerging and established artists living within our region. Once again, please accept our profound thanks. We look forward to seeing you at the Gallery soon and hope you will join us again in support of next year’s Gala!
