Thank you community for joining us on Saturday, 9/10 at Pearl Side Community Arts Festival!! Artist Shae and ACG staff had a blast painting with you.
The three-panel mural will travel around Albany taking up residency within several different organizations (starting at TheRep).
The 2022 Pearl Side Community Arts Festival is a multi-disciplinary cultural arts festival created in partnership with African American Cultural Center of the Capital Region, Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate NY, The Rep, and Troy Foundry Theatre.

The 2022 Pearl Side Community Arts Festival occurred on September 8-12. This is a multi-disciplinary cultural arts festival created in partnership with African American Cultural Center of the Capital Region, Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate NY, The Rep, and Troy Foundry Theatre.
There was a ton of arts activities and performances that happened throughout the five day festival! It was all free and open to the public.

Using the same theme of community and neighborhood, Albany Center Gallery worked with local artist Shae on a mural design that was brought to fruition – by the hands of the community. Community members joined the collaborative painting fun on Saturday, September 10th during the festival’s block party 11am-5pm. The three-panel mural will travel around the Albany, taking up residency within several different organizations – one of which is theREP – over the course of several years. Thank you for making your mark on this community mural!
