"All three are murals now installed on the streets of Arbor Hill and South End, and all were painted by Albany school kids in “Corner Canvas,” a pilot community-art program linking student artists with vacant properties.
A partnership between Albany Center Gallery, the Albany County Land Bank – which owns the properties -- and 4th Family social venture, the project aims to enliven abandoned buildings while giving city youth a canvas for their own creative impulses. At the same time, the students say, they hope to inspire others, too."
