"Bodies distorted not by surreal motivation but by the perspective of society. Paint and color incised and globbed on small canvases not for the exploration of paint but to make carnal the forms there. Pretty colors — pinks and yellows and heavenly blues — serve not to just be pretty but to remind us of advertising strategies of seduction and designerly joy.

"'Beyond Limits' is actually a three person show of new paintings. The other women also have well-defined intentions and boundaries, KK Kozik inventing scenarios with stacks and piles of books, Fern Apfel working meticulous arrangements of words into visual patterns. Both bodies of work are interesting and well-resolved."
