Roots scholar, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Michael Eck will perform selections from his own four albums as well as music based on his paintings at Albany Center Gallery, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18.
Eck—who has performed alongside American radical icons Pete Seeger and Patti Smith—is most frequently seen as a member of Ramblin Jug Stompers and Lost Radio Rounders. For his own work, he draws from the same well of classic American folk and blues that informs his portraits of iconic musicians
