2017 Edition of 'Invitational' at Albany Center Gallery

The "Invitational" is always a strong and interesting exhibition, partly because it is curated in two stages. First comes the "Artists of the Mohawk-Hudson Region" itself, curated in 2016 by Michael Oatman. From that arises this more select show, curated this spring by Albany Center Gallery Executive Director Tony Iadicicco. The full "2016 Regional" last fall at the Hyde was unusually diverse and crowded, so it isn't a bit surprising that this smaller "Invitational" follows suit, with a lot of work by six artists in very different styles.
