Albany Center Gallery has undergone some very positive changes over the last 12 months. In its 40th year serving the Capital Region, the gallery moved to a new location, expanded its audience, increased membership and sales, and raised its profile in the community. Given these successes, we feel the time is right to embark on our next exciting venture: The Store @ ACG.
The goods featured in The Store @ ACG will not be contemporary fine art —that is the mission of the gallery, which is separate from The Store. The Store will sell functional fine crafts created by the skilled artisans of the Capital Region; housewares, ceramics, paper goods and jewelry are just some examples. This is an opportunity for fine artisans to sell their goods in a highly curated setting and retain 70% of the income. They will benefit from exposure, as well; The Store @ ACG will be advertised on the ACG website and social platforms, through local media and our community partners.
The initial launch is scheduled as follows:
October 24: Drop-off consigned goods at Albany Center Gallery
November 3: Masters of War Opening Reception, soft launch of The Store @ ACG
November 24-25: Black Friday and Small Business Saturday
December 15: Grand Opening of The Store @ ACG, 12th Annual Members’ Show Opening Reception
It is our aim to make The Store @ ACG known for its exceptional, highly curated crafts.
