ACG’s Future 40 Gala // 11.18.17
On behalf of our regional artists, staff, Board of Directors, Gala Committee, and all members of our community, we are pleased to invite you to attend Albany Center Gallery’s (ACG) 2017 Future 40 Gala. By attending our annual gala, you will play an important role in keeping visual art alive in a revitalized downtown Albany, as well as contributing directly to our region’s rich culture, economic livelihood, and history.
ACG’s Future 40 Gala will be held from 7 – 11 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Renaissance Albany Hotel located at 144 State Street, Albany, NY 12207.
Tickets are now available! General Admission $100 or $75 for a Young Professional (anyone 35 and under) – click the images below to purchase.
We anticipate over 250 guests (hopefully including you!) who will share in the spirit of art appreciation and enjoy live music, entertainment, auction items (including specially selected art by local artists throughout the region), raffles, great food, and drink. Help us celebrate art, artists and the creative spirit of our community as we present the Mona Ruth Brickman Memorial Artist of the Year Award of $1,000 to Brian Cirmo and the Les Urbach Lifetime Achievement Award to Ellen Jabbur.
MCs: Heather Kovar & Jonathan Hentrich
Honorary Chair: Annette Nanes
Music: Intell Hayesfield
Thanks to community support and people like you, ACG has had the privilege of being at the forefront of our region’s art scene for 40 years. The Gallery presents contemporary art exhibitions featuring all media, with a focus on imaginative works that challenge the standard of today’s art. Our reach extends beyond the walls of the Gallery into the community through our mural program, community art projects in partnership with the City of Albany’s Special Events office, and various other programs including: children’s learning activities, “Sculpture in the Streets,” Art on Lark, Black Arts & Cultural Fest, and the Times Union Center Home Expo. Through these pursuits, the Gallery consistently reaches over 55,000 individuals yearly.
All proceeds raised from the Gala will benefit ACG in its mission: to promote and exhibit contemporary visual art produced by emerging and established artists living in the region, to inspire and provide enjoyment to an increasingly diverse audience, thereby contributing to the growth of our local community.
Deadline to join/donate/sponsor is Friday, October 27.
Mark your calendars for November 18, 2017! We hope you will attend an exciting, fun-filled evening at our Future 40 Gala, as Albany Center Gallery celebrates our next 40 years.
Special thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Gala so far!:
